Since its foundation in 2013 by Aaron Freitag, myfelt has set itself the goal of designing special and natural felt ball rugs and felt accessories. With the special claim to produce ecologically sensible and economically fair products, the actual foundation stone for the company history of myfelt was laid. The Berlin-based company uses myfelt exclusively natural felt made from 100% virgin wool using traditional Nepalese craftsmanship. Since 2014, myfelt has been working with GoodWeave, one of the world's largest FairTrade companies in the carpet industry. myfelt is the only manufacturer of felt ball carpets in the world that has official certification from GoodWeave, which guarantees fair and socially sustainable production.
In the production itself, purely ecological and pollutant-free colors are used. High standards of honest material, fair working conditions in long-standing Nepalese partner manufactories and a sustainably oriented production cycle are closely linked at myfelt. For a high-quality raw material in the form of the natural product wool, myfelt works with hand-picked raw material suppliers in New Zealand, which also guarantees species-appropriate wool production with precisely defined animal welfare regulations.
